Alas, BubbleBeam is useless on Articuno except for the PP. There's no case where Articuno does more damage with BubbleBeam than he does with Ice Beam.

Good thing OHKO moves work on higher level Pokemon if you outspeed them in gen1.......

Why does _EVERYONE_ seem to mispronounce rattata? It’s pronounced: Ratt-uh-tah NOT ra-tatta. Go watch the first episode of the anime, the Pokédex clearly pronounces it. Episode 8 also features a pronunciation.

Remember doing these challenges when I was a kid on gameboy color waaaaay back in the day 😂😂😂 my child mindset didn’t have the patience to finish them 😂

For as negative as you were at times with this run, I’m actually extremely impressed at how good of a time Starmie ended up having considering how much of a roadblock Cerulean was, and the Grass trainers prior to obtaining Ice Beam/Psychic. EDIT: Plus, I feel like every Pokémon deserves some extra credit when they can first try the Elite 4!

Very well played! Alakazam's always been a beast in Gen 1. It's got its weaknesses but they aren't really serious weaknesses compared to almost any other poke.

If Gengar started out with Confusion and had Psychic as its second type instead of Poison, it could've had a chance at beating Mewtwo then.

With Let’s Go Pikachu couldn’t you have got someone to trade you a Caterpie in the beginning (which had perfect stats)? There’s modders on EBay which wouldn’t charge much to trade you one.

I don't really know why Rattata would have been presupposed as one of the worst for a solo run. The rat has tons of speed and attack and pretty good move pool. Sure it's a glass cannon, but sweepers are the name of the game in Gen 1.

Given Zubat's better attack, it could've been to your benefit to keep steel wing until the end and use it instead of hidden power. It likely would've done way more damage, and even with the miss chance, there's also the chance for a defense boost, so it could've made steven much easier.
